The Grace Center is Thankful for You

Volunteers play a vital role in the work we do at The Grace Center of Fredericksburg. If you are interested in volunteering with the shelter, orientation is required before attending volunteer training.

Both orientation and training dates are offered throughout the year to help accommodate different schedules. Please note that all dates are subject to change.

Volunteer orientation is required prior to training and will be held:

• Every other month
   
• 3rd Wednesday of the month
   
• 12:00 PM
   

Orientation provides an overview of who we are, how we serve, volunteer expectations, and next steps in the process.

2026 Volunteer Training Dates

• January 27–29 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
   
• February 17, 19, 24 & 26 | 4:00 – 6:00 PM
   
• March 24–26 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
   
• April 21, 25, 28 & 30 | 4:00 – 6:00 PM
   
• May 26–28 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
   
• June 16, 18, 23 & 25 | 4:00 – 6:00 PM
   
• August 25–27 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
   
• September 15, 17, 22 & 24 | 4:00 – 6:00 PM
   
• October 27–29 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
   
• November 17–19 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
   

No volunteer training will be held in July or December.

If you are interested in volunteering at one of our two resale shop locations, volunteer training is not required. We can connect you with the store manager to coordinate days and times based on your availability.
