2026 Legacy Society Luncheon

Since opening our doors two years ago, The Grace Center has served 331 survivors of domestic violence, providing safety, support, and pathways toward healing. Along the way, we have celebrated both the courage and the wins of those we serve and witnessed the strength of a community committed to change.
We are honored to welcome the Gabby Petito Foundation as the featured guest speaker for our 2026 Legacy Society Luncheon.
The Gabby Petito Foundation was established to honor Gabby’s life by raising awareness about domestic violence and missing persons while supporting prevention and recovery efforts nationwide. Their work aligns powerfully with The Grace Center’s mission to break the cycle of domestic violence through education, advocacy, and direct support.
This luncheon offers an opportunity to learn how our organizations are working together to create safer communities and lasting change.

Nichole Schmidt
Nichole has dedicated her life to advocating for domestic violence prevention and raising awareness for missing persons. With a deep commitment to bringing communities together, Nichole strives to create a world where survivors feel seen, supported, and protected. Her mission is to be a voice for victims, survivors, and their families, honoring Gabby’s memory by inspiring action, promoting education, and driving meaningful change to save lives, so no family has to endure the pain of losing a loved one to domestic violence.
Tara Petito
Tara is the bonus mother of Gabby Petito. After the tragic murder of Gabby, Tara has committed herself to honoring Gabby’s legacy through the Gabby Petito Foundation. The foundation focuses on supporting organizations that assist in locating missing persons and advocating for the prevention of domestic violence. Tara's dedication to these causes is driven by her desire to create a positive impact in the world and ensure that Gabby's story continues to inspire others. Through various initiatives and events, the foundation works tirelessly to raise awareness and provide resources to those in need.
